Around that point. I knew before the movie who his father was, like I knew that he was a Celestial, he was a being of great power, made of light, who created himself. I look forward to her in Vol. 3!
Reviews are in. Everyone loves Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the only question right now is when is this thing gonna hit $1 billion at the box office?
Does Ego become the father he always wanted to be?
Now Peter Quill loves his mother. For answers, see "GOTG2", asap.
We reunite with our ragtag crew - spaceship pilot Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), assassin Gamora (Zoe Saldana), muscleman Drax (Dave Bautista) and a talking raccoon named Rocket (voice of Bradley Cooper) - while they are deep in a battle to protect some expensive batteries from a big octopus. Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) is setting up a sound system so the team can jam to a song while stopping the beast. The Sovereigns nearly destroy the team and cause them to crash land on a distant planet until they are saved by Ego, played by Kurt Russell, who is later revealed to be Quill's father.
Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and her sister, Nebula (Karen Gillan), have a hate-hate relationship that runs deep. Not so appealing is Chris Sullivan as nasty - and exceedingly unattractive - Ravager named Taserface. And the scene ended with her teaming back up with their original Ravager group, including Stakar (Sylvester Stallone), Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum), Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames), Aleta (Michelle Yeoh), and a CGI Krugarr.
The last two members of the group, Gamora (Zoe Saldana) and Rocket, deal with extensions of their problems from the previous movie: Gamora having to patch up her relationship with her estranged (and murderous) sibling Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Rocket having to fix his relationship with basically everyone around him besides Groot. Not many of us had heard of these characters in the Marvel Universe, and its surprising success and popularity quickly led to a sequel.
Well, as another post-credit sequence suggested the assembly of the Ravagers, it is highly plausible that he will be joining one of the other factions to "steal some batteries".
Peter Quill aka Star Lord aka one of the coolest characters in the film universe Marvel is (almost) the King of the universe (in our hearts). Discuss this on your way home. Those include daddy issues, sibling rivalry, self-loathing, accepting your place in the world and a full scale hero's journey sprinkled throughout the endlessly entertaining 136 minutes. If you find yourself asking why Russell's role was so weird because you haven't seen the film yet, turn back now. In "Vol. 2", they keep getting thrown together. If they want to know what it is they will just have to go see it.
